Lovely carvery and buffet for lunch time. I went for a set meal due to allergies and it was lovely and great portion size. The only baby change is within the ladies toilet which is a little archaic. Otherwise I couldn't fault it. Disabled access through the hotel
This restaurant offers a good value one-,two- and three course carvery every day. There is a good choice of food available. If you do not prefer a carvery, there is a menu with a wide range of dishes available. The staffs are pleasant and attentive. Reservation is recommended as this establishment is popular and busy.

A lot of things were off the menu after the festival and I'm sure the ingredients for pizza can't be too hard to source but the food I had was really good. The opening times are all over the place I saw 3 different times and one toilet was out of order but didn't say there was another which nearly had people walking back out. Overall could do better on the running of the place but I will certainly give it another chance based on the excellent food.
Food great, except pork loin which was tough. Service exceedingly slow, especially for the sweet which took more than half an hour to come. My Canadian friend was losing the will to live. Over two hours to eat is ridiculous.

Had a really nice meal here. One let down was the chicken being of a cheap quality which didn't sit so well with me and a couple and others in the group. But everything else was very good and as a group of 9 we all enjoyed our visit.
Perfect place to go for a delicious curry ,lovely friendly staff and management with time for a blether . :)

Great Chinese restaurant. Reasonably priced (prawn crackers, a portion of rice, chips, two mains and three drinks was £33). It was quiet when we went in. Food came out piping hot and was delicious. It's one of only three places we found in Stornoway that was open for dinner on a Sunday (though we ate there on a Monday). Lost a star as other than salt and pepper there's no condiment (I asked for sweet chilli as a dipping sauce with my main). Would recommend Golden Ocean and would dine there again.
Very hit and miss. Sometimes it's so nice and fresh and other times your not too sure what your eating as it looks like it's been reheated

Never have I failed to find haven in this pub. Respect yourself and enjoy the classic ambiance that is "The Lewis Coffee House". The clientele is elite mixed with street in a cocktail that commands attention, glanced in ambivalent gaze. Enjoy your stay, in Stornoway.
Great little local pub. Lovely staff and locals: great pint.

A good selection of veg/vegan options, although it took a lot of time to find out for sure what was dairy or meat free when questioning the staff. I was very impressed with the menu however, which now needs just a few tweaks to make things clearer in terms of dietary requirements. Slow service but overall a good choice for a dinner.
Simply the best place we have found to eat in Stornoway, takeaway or sitting in. Always make sure to go when in the area.

Nice Take Away, food is served fresh and the service is pleasant and kind. Pizzas are solid, fish and chips taste delicious and meals from chicken are really from chicken. Perfect take away, it's worth a visit!
Lovely breakfast and coffee. Attentive staff and peace and quiet.

Lewis Hotel, North Beach, Stornoway HS1 2XP, UK – 01851 704567
The Lewis used to be a brilliant night out. The staff are really professional and very nice people, what leaves me giving a low score is I was drinking in there for 20 years & they have never spent a penny on the up keep of the pub.the toilets are disgraceful& the whole place needs spruced up. Luckily the a staff make up for it.
Nice pub. Friendly staff
